Our extraction technologist recently hopped on the Salt Spring Island ferry to pay a visit to Tyler, CEO of GOOD BUDS, at their farm. He toured the farm and facility, checked out the new strains they’ve been cultivating, and gathered feedback on their WT-300’s performance after 5 years of operation.

The family-farm’s approach to cultivation is equally meticulous, following regenerative agriculture practices.
This includes relying on living, organic soil to nurture their plants. Rich in bioavailable microorganisms and nutrients, living soil organics enhance the flavour, sustainability and quality of their flower.
By feeding their crops with 100% recaptured rainwater, they allow the true essence of each strain to shine through. This results in a cleaner, smoother consumption experience that their customers love.
The Gulf Island farm is entirely organic, certified by the Fraser Valley Organic Producers Association (FVOPA).
In the Lab: Solventless Cannabis Extraction
When it comes to processing, GOOD BUDS has chosen to partner with Whistler Technologies, running our WT-300 system.
Since its installation in 2019 the WT-300 has become an integral part of GOOD BUDS’ operation, especially during the intense demands of harvest season.
The durability, cleanability, and sanitary design of the WT-300 has allowed GOOD BUDS to maintain their high standards of quality, while processing their cannabis efficiently and effectively.
Tyler enthusiastically shared with us that he loves his WT-300 because it is a true workhorse, which requires little maintenance to continue operating smoothly.
